Air2S in Spring 2022

I'm still on the fence. if I didn't need to worry about Remote ID I would already have the Air 2S.

Pilot location being available to anyone with a cellphone just makes me uneasy.

Which opens this up to a ton of speculation with add on modules, reduced flight performance, dongles and other junk.

DJI BELIEVES that some of their lineup will be compatible, but there have been no confirmations.

In regards to waypoints, I wrote this article a month or so ago for Droneblog.

Hopefully, that helps some? We love our Air 2S'. We have/had a bunch of drones in our fleet. It has replaced our recently retired (as of last April) Phantom 4 Pro+ and never looked back

It gives the user the ability to program a waypoint that is not in direct LOS violating formal FAA rules. I would love to have it, but DJI has no way of making sure the controller is always in range. That's why all SDKs and waypoint modes use twin stick control modes and the controller.

By that logic, the stock controller gives the operator the ability to fly beyond LOS and would be banned, too.
