Altitude Hard-Coded Limit - Any mod to increase it?

Thanks. Do you mind sharing some of the hacking info and recipes? I am a techie and can handle it. ;-)
You do know that even discussing ways to "hack" a Device in order to defeat a feature put in place because of a federal law aint exactly kosher ( meaning its illegal ).
If we were to give you this info and you went out and did something stupid with it, we could be in the same trouble as you or worse! SO without a part 107 and a waiver there is no reason for you to break the altitude limit for Drones.

Check again.
There is no 200 ft AGL limit for recreational flyers.
You are correct. My mistake.

Well said and worth stating. 😎

I have been flying a FLIP for a few months, and I love it. I have just acquired a Mavic 3 (and will acquire a Mavic 4 soon). I have seen that all drones can reach an altitude of 6km or 20,000 ft above sea level. However, the RC has a hard-coded max of 500m. Has anyone been successful in applying a hack or a mod to increase this limit?
Did you try Drone-hacks ? i've used it on my mini 3 pro and love it!

Fantastic. I see that they have a Mavic 3 hack/package for 40 Euros. Is installation simple (in your experience), and are the chances of turning the drone into a Brick (i.e., a useless piece of hardware) low to none? I am very tempted to try it.
Yes, in my opinion very simple. there is actually no code work needed. just buy the software and run it on your computer. It will then upload the new hacked firmware to the drone and a few minutes later it's ready to fly. If you're at all techy you will also then have full control on all the parameters on the drone. I was a little cautious myself about it, but i'm glad i got it. Also, there customer support was A-Plus, very helpful with any questions i had. Also, if you're unsure about, just get a used mini 3 pro, or other cheaper and older dji drone to try it out on first before doing it on your Mavic 3.
Good Luck :)

Thanks. I am sold. Will get it for sure. Do you which firmware version the hack is based on? Or do they update the hack everytime there is a new code base?
I don't. But I do know the firmware does change to their updated/hacked version. i'd love to hear how you make out. As of now I only have the mini 3 pro, but i'm planning on getting a mavic 3 soon.

Yes there is a way to hack it but I’m not telling you how. You are a recklessly irresponsible drone operator and you need to learn the laws about drone flying. People like you get people killed and cost millions of dollars in damage to property. You need to get a LAANC AP and check TFR’s before flying. You need to take the FAA TRUST course as well.

Thanks Matt - take it easy. No laws were violated and no undue risk was taken. I am studying for FAA Part 107 and coming to understand the rules and regulations and associated risks. Looks like you SRE a veteran drone pilot. Your concerns are justified but your language and tone are not. Stay well. Please rethink your approach.

Thanks. But how did you bypass the Fly DJI App limit of 500 meters?
NoLImitDrones does remove limitations via software and they are out of England. They are usually about 2 years behind on getting to the newer drones, so you have to check with them. NoLimitDronez.com
