Hi all,
New user here.just wondering if the iOS version of the fly app is better/ more reliable than the android version or are they much the same thing?

I'm just comparing Samsung a series (a21s, a50etc) phones v a used iPhone 7 as a $250 screen solution for my new mini.

Cheers

Despite what some zealous Apple promoters might tell you, the app works just as well on either operating system.
Use whichever you are most comfortable with.

All depends if you are an Apple or Android fan, as Meta4 says use whatever you are comfortable with.
For me its Android, I once got an iPad hated the thing so I gave it to my son.

One think to consider is brightness of the phone display (NITS). Some phones are terrible in sunlight
Except for a very small number of high brightness devices, all phones are poor in sunlight.
But finding a shaded position to fly from fixes that.

I recently bought a second hand Samsung Galaxy S8+ for £120 just for flying the drone and actually very impressed with how bright it is. In bright sun I can still see it reasonably well whereas my Huawei P30 pro is almost invisible.
