I purchased an iPad Mini 4 just for the MP. The first time I took the MP up after about 10 minutes I got an 'over temperature' error and the iPad just shut down. Didn't affect the control of the MP and I was able to bring it in. Upon researching the interweb, I figured I had my brightness too high (maxed at the time) and lowered it down to about 50%. I was also out in direct sunlight (about 90*) and thought that had something to do with it as well.
Since then.. no issues. Flew a couple more times... went through all three of my batteries and all was good. Until today... it happened again. this time into the second battery. It is a bit warm again today (92*) and the one difference is that I used Buy Remote Controller Monitor Hood for Tablets | DJI Store . So now I'm wondering if the hood was the cause? It does restrict any airflow to the iPad. I'm even considering cutting out the back of the hood so the back of the iPad will be 'in the open'. I just want to make sure I didn't pick up a defective iPad. I did get it off Amazon as a "like new" product, so it was not new when purchased. Any brain food on this is greatly appreciated...
