Anyone know if RC-2 (RC331) can be used with O4 Pro VTX for custom builds?

Hi all,

I'm unable to find an answer to my question online, and I doubt that's going to improve anytime soon, so I will ask the community: Can an RC-2 (RC331) controller be used with an O4 Pro or O4 Lite VTX video system on a custom (non-DJI) drone build? Also, can the controls of the RC-2 pass through the O4 module or would I need to use a different controller and receiver? The idea behind this is to use Vitrue glasses for FPV and eliminate the need for additional hardware because of the awesome Displaylink UBC-C port on the RC-2 that I already have.

The RC2 is NOT compatible with the O4 air units...You need an RC3 if the RC you are asking about is the screened RC2 then it will not work with any air unit, You need the FPV style controllers for those.

Thanks for the answer, there's not a lot of "alternative" build information out there, most folks seem to be paid reviewers or sticking to DJI package deals. I assume it's because DJI is a walled garden and wants to keep everything proprietary.

Is there is good digital video solution that can give me an HDMI or USB Displaylink output so I can use my choice of display?

there are other systems out there my favorite being Walksnail. or if you wanna use DJI there is Yollowbox
