Was wondering if these are worth getting? Never heard of them till now.

ehh. With a phone, maybe. But with a drone I think a fully charged battery is the only way to go safely.

I would never lift off and go any further than a few yards away with an undercharged battery.

I don't see a whole lot of point to this with drones, you just keep your batteries at storage voltage until you're ready to fly.

what most people seem to forget with the Batteries in our drones ,is that in order for them to function correctly ,whether they have two, three ,or four cell ,batteries ,then its important that those cells are balanced ,with regards to the amount of voltage in each cell, this cell balancing takes place at the end of the charge process ,and involves ,the BMS ,and its only when the cells are as near as possible to their full capacity ,that the balancing takes place ,this used to be done by the balance circuits built in to the charger, and depending on the number of cells the battery had, it would have a corresponding number of balance leads, these balance leads would be plugged into the charger ,as well as the positive and negative leads to the battery ,but with the advent of so called intelligent batteries ,this is now done by the BMS in each individual battery , if one or more of the cells has a reduced voltage ,then as the current is being drawn during flight ,then that cell will reach the critical low voltage ,amount and cause issues with the batteries ability to keep the drone in the air ,in the same way as a faulty cell would

DJI has smart batteries that automatically discharge to storage volume for this purpose.

The article is very poorly written so that it's hard to tell whether the device is actually useful or just a scam.

It's hard to take the article seriously when it contains this sentence:
One of drone owners’ biggest expenses (second only to propellers) are batteries.

right props are cheap battery's are not. like its beed said theres no need for these we have intelligent battery's just a scam I think
