As per title, what resolution we get on our screens?
Cheers

I believe the default is 720p. But if you go to the 'HD' section in the settings of Go4 - you can switch to 1080p

Hum, so having a 4k screen in a VR headset wouldn't make any difference, right?

Not for the streaming video, no. Unless your screen or headset upscales.

Is 1080p pretty smooth for stream or is it better to leave it at 720? Just curious if it improves quality on cached video when I edit on the go from DJI GO app.

Cached video always seems a bit blurred when I upload to YouTube while on the go until I edit it with software from SD card.

If the phone screen is 4k i think it 'should' upscale. But i am not sure about this one.

Yes if you have one of those new phones the screens are pretty sweet and will upscale so you will get an excellent picture. My screen is 1440 and the pictures are vivid.

1080 is ok, however when you split the image in 2 for VR headset the resolution drops. This is why I am looking for a good screen/phone. But the doubt is if at the end it makes sense to have a screen that support a resolution that the mavic doesn't streem.

I am thinking to get a sony xperia z5 premium with 4k and 800ppi: on paper should be ok. What do you think?
Cheers

it depends on how the vr works, if it is two screens side by side the resolution will be the same, if it is a system where the screen shows alternate images and you are wearing a device with shutters that switch over each eye then the resolution will be cut in half.

For using in the google cardboard style vr goggles that should give you a picture better than most 4k televisions, I imagine it will look phenomenal. Luck you!

Thanx mate, will update if i get this device. Will be used with my homido v2 headset.

And it will be darn bright, I just looked up the specs and it will upscale so you will have an image in your goggles that will compare to the one being recorded on the drone. Good choice, if I had the means I would follow in your footsteps.

Just make sure you DO NOT UPDATE to nougat, it comes with marshmallow which will work well, nougat has issues.
