thank you so much for this info. i was considering this upgrade for a while and havent seen this type of comparison despite extensive searches. can you do a horizontal speed test also?

Glad you liked it. Horizontal max speed is around 58mph for the upgraded 3.5" and around 50mph for the stock Avata. Just a couple tips if you upgrade: 1) Do not use the wire they provide in the kit to install the Gimbal rubber damper, use dental floss instead. Others have severed the rubber attachments using the wire. 2) Do not solder the motor wires directly to the ESC, just cut the existing motor wires around 1" from the ESC connection and solder these wires to the new motors wires. Much safer and no risk of frying the ESC as has happened to others.

ive clocked about 60 65 with the stock avata. ive used sowing string to thread the dampeners.
