I'm travelling an internal US 2 1/2hr flight and trying to decide beween taking my FPVtosky hard case or my LowePro backup to carry my Mavic 4 Pro, RC Pro 2 controller, five batteries, charger, spare props etc. Both have a size to be permitted as a personal item in the plane.
Pros and cons for storage
Back Pack: I can also carry my Osmo Pocket 3 in its pouch with accessories however no space for the Mavic 4 Pro 3 battery charger which may have to go in with checked in luggage. Storing in overhead will need some caution and care to prevent others knocking it with their luggage.
Hard Case: Can carry everything except Osmo Pocket 3 which I can carry in my coat pocket,

I'm leaning towards the hardcase but I know several of you fly so frequently; any advice is welcome.

I have my FAA, TRUST Certificate etc and my AMA (American Model Association) card. Anything else I need to watch out for?

I don't use a soft case for any of my drones. Period.
Thanks. I use the backpack for when hiking or biking with the drone; wasn't sure if I should use it for air travel. All five batteries are fully charged and everything is now in the hardcase, ready for travel. No space for ND Filters though however managed to fit the ND filters too.

I wouldn't trust anything in the overhead area. If you end up on a full plane or one with limited overhead space, they may require you to check your bag at the gate.
