Hi guys,

I'm travelling to Barcelona next weekend and thinking of taking my Mavic Pro. Are there any laws / restrictions I need to be aware of whilst I'm there? I'm obviously not planning to fly it over crowds but would like to get some nice shots of the city. Any advice?

Thanks,

A

Same international laws (120 mts. max. altitude, no fly on crowded areas, National monuments and parks, airports....) I'd recommend you to go to Tibidabo Mountain. Best spot for sure to take great panoramas. And you can visit El Galeon at the Nautical Port, a 18th Century Spanish galleon (I came to the US on this ship!). It's a must and next to Las Ramblas and pretty much everything interesting in town.

Barcelona is a wonderful city but unfortunately there's so many tourists that they are robbed every day. Be careful please, they usually attack on bus stops and any crowded areas where groups of thieves are organized to push you and take your things, and you won't probably notice till it's too late. Sitting outdoors on bars and restaurants is also sensible for your belongings. It's not a dangerous city by any means, but it's quite easy to get robbed.

Have fun!!

I went three weeks ago but was staying outside of Barcelona and got the train in daily. I took my MA and flew by the sea where I was staying but didn’t bother taking it into the city as we were only doing tourist stuff in the centre and it is very busy.
