Anyone compared battery consumption per unit distance when going straight up vs. going straight down? This info can be useful to know just in case you find yourself in a pressing battery low situation and your Mavic is still very high (or very low relative to your takeoff).

Intuitively, it would seem that going up must consume more battery as the drone works against the gravity; but if it goes up or down at a constant speed, physics tells us that the thrust must be nearly the same (the parasite drag of Mavic body, which works against the ascent and helps the descent, at 3m/s is negligible) and equal to the weight, so the difference, if any, boils down to efficiency of props going up into "clean" air or down in the "dirty" air of the prop downwash.

Thoughts, observations? Also - optimum speed? P-Mode or Sport Mode? (it goes down at max 3m/s in both modes, but goes up faster in Sport Mode)
