Thanks for that. Just watched the entire video. . learned a few things. . still can't get the Controller to connect to my Mac OR PC . . .on the controller itself, I can see there are at least 100's of pictures on there. . I WAS able to use the same cable and connect the drone itself. . and was able to see the DCIM Folder but very few pix on there. . looks like the majority of them are stored on the controller. . not sure what the issue is. . cable obviously works. . also tried the USB A port on top. . apparently just for connecting accessories and not for a data download. .

Thanks again. . must be a newbie thing. .hope I'm just doing something wrong and no issue with the controller. .

I was wondering the same thing. . not quite sure how that could have even come in contact with anything with the arm out. That being said, like I said before, everything seems to operate very smoothly. . arms out, in, motors sound great, transmitter screen very clear, bright, no glitches. . even the "gimbal start up" is smooth. . I'm now of the opinion that if there's no good reason to update the firmware, best to just leave it alone. . am I wrong? Thanks for your help!

I've had no problems with the latest firmware, which adds the RID to the drone as required. I had to update both the aircraft and install the latest version of GO4 in the Smart Controller right from the DJI website. After updating everything and rebooting them I've had no problems at all.
