Define "shut the mavic pro off".

EDIT: Where are my manners? Welcome to the Forum!

Thank you!
When I power down the drone the led’s turn off and then the top led turns on and the drone stays on.
Thank you!

Just to clarify ... When you say 'the drone stays on' - are you seeing the lights on the rear of the body, and on the front arms staying on as well as battery lights???
And - I have to ask the silly questions first ...
When you turn the Mavic off, you are using the short-press, then long-press sequence - yes? Then you hear the beep tones??
Does it seem to shut-down with all the lights off, then starts-up again??

I think it might be useful if you describe what you are seeing as I'm having a hard time imagining what you are describing????

Yes to all.
After the battery turns off it immediately turns on the 1st top led and the gimbal never goes to the limp position

You answered "Yes to all". Are you certain the Mavic LED's light up?

I have noticed that occasionally one of my batteries will shut down and then the top LED comes on. However, no other LED's on my MP light up and my gimbal just stays pointed where it was when I shut it down. I just switch out the battery and move on.

If that happens for just the one battery, then it sounds like you have a dud battery. You have posted in the Mavic Pro Platinum section of the Forum, so I'm looking at the Mavic Pro manual:battery.jpg
If the 'first top LED' is the one closest to the power button, then that's LED 4. The only error code in the manual referencing that LED, is to do with Charging temperature - and from what you are saying, it's not on charge when this happens ... So I can't give any advice other than replacement of the battery (under warranty if its still covered?).

Thank you for the reply!
I bought the drone from a private individual he said it was crashed and I ran a test on the drone and found that the main core board was not working
After opening the drone I found Beach sand in it so I purchased a new main core board and it works great. So what you are telling me would be correct that the battery is bad and that is probably the battery that went into the water.
Thank you for the information!

Good to know you figured it out. You really had me stumped.

I love the mavic drones!
Now I have 2 of them 1 new and 1 that I rebuilt for my grandsons to fly with me.
And I’m happy that I found this forum because I learned a lot from here!
Thank you all for being here!

That sounds great! Enjoy the experience with your grandsons! Since you can rebuild them it should lessen the devastation if one crashes.
