I have flown from the same site a few times and all of a sudden today my transmitter starting beeping and won't stop until I'm in the air. The Mini displays the proper in-flight slow blinking green light and no warnings display on my phone screen. I hope someone can shed some light on this peculiar problem. TIA

Try calibrating your IMU.
Well I'll be darned! THANK YOU sir, that cured my problem. I've only had my new mini for 3 days and ran the IMU and compass calibration when I first finished installing the app. I own many drones and this is the first time I've ever had to redo an IMU before, but what the heck, I'm happy! You da man!

Well darn it! I think I spoke a bit too soon about running the IMU again to solve the beeping controller. Just two flights later, the controller beeping returned. I found a couple of YT videos where more than one pilot ran into the same problem with their Mavic Mini. For most of them running a RC calibration cured the problem, but for me and my Mini 2 controller, no dice. So, fortunately Best Buy is just four miles from my home and did a no hassle exchange for me. New unit is charging now so hopefully all will go well for me in the morning.

That seems to be an issue with the new RC for the MA2 and the MM@. Mine will do that on occasion as well but someone suggested a stick calibration or make sure your sticks are centered when powering up the drone. My controller does that randomly but doesn't affect the performance that I can tell.

If the new one ever beeps, I agree with MavicAir2Marc. Try calibrating the sticks.

I've had two controllers for my Air 1. both were constantly calling for re-calibration. Someone on the forum said to cycle the sticks and gimbal wheel several times before power-up and that has solved the problem for me.

Excellent info and thanks guys for sharing your experiences. Well (fingers crossed) I had a great flight this morning with no issues with this latest Mini 2 I got last night. And yes, with the RC that was beeping, I did do a RC calibration and it would eventually start beeping again. Maybe DJI will acknowledge this problem and issue a firmware update, unless of course, it turns out to be a faulty component or? I have two old school Blade Chromas, a Traxxas Aton and more than one Bugs 3 and Eachine EX2 mini quads that I have had absolutely no problems with. But, as far as the fun factor goes, you can't beat this Mini 2!

The beeping controller happens because the sticks are not properly 'reset' when powering on. You can test this by pushing a stick and turning the controller on at the same time, it will start beeping.

This also happens on the MM1 controller, but it was less prominent because the control sticks were a lot stiffer. The new MA2 and MM2 controller is looser and thus is why the issue happens more. So to fix the problem, just make sure you flick the control sticks and gimbal wheel before turning on the controller.

Very much thanks guys, for your recommendations to cure the beeping RC! Flicking the sticks and rotating the wheel prior to starting the RC is now part of my pre-flight procedure!
