I'm trying to figure if there is a way that set the drone inside of a motocross track so that it is facing the outside and will track me doing circuits? It's a kidney'ish shaped track (Carnegie in Livermore California). I'm surprised there is not a option to set it at a hover and then let it rotate to keep you in frame. I am not comfortable with full on active track follow me as there are a few tall poles and viewing areas around the track. I intend to go mid week when it will likely be empty.

Cheers.

There is a version of active track where you can position the Mavic in say the centre of the circuit and it will pan around to follow you around the track.

I must have missed that as I only saw the follow modes. Cheers.

I tried follow-me. Almost crashed!

I'm going to use autopilot and see if it does any better.

I am wondering if I can set a geo fence inside the track so it still follows but it stays away from the hill.

Spot light mode will work.

Hi Strafe,
Spotlight keeps it in one position right? The track is sort of long and would lose sight especially when going behind one of the jumps. I'll try it this week though.
Cheers.

Yea, the Mavic will probably lose you. If someone else is piloting the quad, the Mavic can be flown normally, except for yaw movements. If they can keep the Mav staying close to you in the infield, it will help. They would just need to fly it back and forth along the infield. The camera stays on the subject.

I want to flight my mavic tomorrow in a MX park. could you solve this issue?

Spotlight mode still tried to follow. I had a little better luck but still not get an entire lap in. I went slow and started with the MP a little higher and further north (away from the hills). Really strange that it lost me at :55 when nothing was in its way and it seemed to have me 'within view'.
