Indeed I did (as championed by Tony Kyper), though I preferred to select luminosity manually, and its been a while, hence my poor terminology.

For those who may want to create a longer exposure from multiple frames (without the hassle of doing it manually) there is a free handy program- its called startrails.exe. Runs nicely on OSX in a VM for MAC users also. Ot is principally designed for astrophotography however works a treat for any long exposure stacking and its very quick and easy to use.

Stacking is also very helpful for shooting in any low light condition. It emphasizes data and minimizes noise.
