Before spending big money on a stobe for my drone , anyone considered uding a cycle light instead. Some of these are mega bright and priced a whole lot more reasonably than the purpose made offerings.

I thought of it, my son is a photographer & wants to take a long exposure with me painting light trails at night.
Don't see why it wouldn't work, nothing lost, I cam buy them in the £1 shop, some of them are small & light so add a little velcro for a fixing & give it a try.

I had bought one of the Funten strobes but somehere along the way it must have fallen out of my bag.
Rather than shelling out again i reckon something like this would be a cheaper if not better option

Might try that skytrails idea myself

Depending on what drone you have it might change the flight parameters / characteristics when using a heavier bike light.

The MM for example will go into payload mode

Might be too heavy OP. But only by experimenting will you kmow!

You can get small light ones quite cheap on ebay, Ive bought a few in the past and work quite well

I like the strobon white Cree as they are super light and very bright

Great Idea about Bike lights, I spent $90.00 for two lights and two holders for back legs.
