Blinking transmitter icon during flight on GO4 app

I've been flying the Mavic for about 3 weeks and just noticed the transmitter icon on the status bar blinking at about half mile out. It still showed full signal strength, but I returned home bc I want sure what this meant. I didn't see anything the manual. Does anyone know what this means?
