Very nice. That's pretty much every day in Florida in the summer during the afternoon. ? ?

Exactly! ? Thank you!
You're welcome. We lived in SE Florida for several years, so know all about those summer afternoons. Thumbswayup :)

I gave this one a LIKE. I am a fellow South Floridian, and have great familiarity with these daily thunderstorm buildups during our rainy season. You caught the mood and feeling well. I particularly liked the racing jet skiers, but wondered if there wasn't some sort of "NO WAKE" rule they were breaking going through that bridge together. I also liked the tracking scenes. Not sure if they were set on tracking or manual but a good track in either case.

I think the length of the scenes were just about right, although a tiny bit longer than I usually do. If you track your stats as I do you will see that less than half of viewers finish a film. Also some repetition and a bit faster yawing than I would want. Slow, slow, slow on the panning.

Bonita Springs, just north of Naples I believe, has that great Roy's Restaurant! Lovely area.

You have captured the essence of coastal Florida and those afternoon storms. I agree with Dale that the pans should be slower because details are lost otherwise. Thanks for the post!

I love that a big storm is blowing in and there are all sorts of open boats on the water and jet skies. I guess if you're wearing a bathing suit you don't care...except for the lightening!

? Lots of good fishing areas.

Little thing sure takes nice pictures (in light winds). Only reason I still have one. And care refresh +. And a “GetterBack” over water.

Thank you for the like and the feedback, Dale. You're absolutely right, I realized the video was a bit lengthy, but posted it anyway. I'm still trying to find the sweet spot as far as the length of a video. I wanted to limit it to 1 minute, but it was impossible to fit everything I wanted into it. I've also come to the conclusion that 2-3 seconds spent on a scene is enough, but the scenery looked so good to me that I left it as is. I actually sped up the panning scene to keep viewers from getting bored!

As far as tracking subjects, I did that manually to try and improve my flying skills. I've never had much luck using the QuickShots feature in the app.

I'll have to check out Roy's!

Thanks for the reply Vapor 069. I commend you on your following/tracking of the boat. I am still failing at such skills. If there was a choice of speeding something up, don't do it on the panning, or yawing. Nothing is more disconcerting to the viewer's eyes. My preferences (I am not saying these are engraved in stone) are 2 to 2.3 seconds for a still shot, 3-6 seconds for a video clip unless it is telling a story which needs to play out (e.g.: crossing a bridge, or similar), try to vary the scenes (not just different views of same scene).

I try to make the forum films 3 minutes or less not including end titles. For personal travelogues, I throw all of these rules to the wind because I am enjoying these personally, and I am sending them to my family and LOVERS of photography. You are welcome to scroll through my Vimeo account for examples which range from 2 1/2 minute films for forums such as Mavic Pilots, or LRTimelapse Forum, to 15 minutes films (Major trips such as Greece, Mountain Gorillas, Icelands, etc.).
