Fantastic! You're braver than I. Excellent repair and an excellent job of documenting it for us. THANKS!
Getting the rubber attachments back into the hole is a bit tricky. I tried using tweezers to pull it through, but I was pulling so hard I was afraid the rubber might rip. To get each one through I used a combination of pushing with a tiny screw driver tip from the backside while pulling the tip attachment with tweezers. This was fairly easy, but I did have the case open which gave me the needed room to get the tiny tools on each side of the attachment hole. If you cannot get it with tweezers I suggest removing the top casing and trying the push/pull method. The rubber is very soft and flexible and if it breaks you will need to replace the rubber supports. Removing the case is easy, but you need to proceed slowly and place screwdrivers in the opening as you go around to prevent it from snapping shut again, kind of like removing a bicycle tire from a rim. Hope this helps.I once had a bump and the little rubber brace that goes thru those little holes came out. I put it back but I see I only put the smaller outer tip of it. How did you get that whole wide piece thru that little hole? I'm speaking of the 4 rubber grommets or flexible connection braces that connect to the frame thru those 4 small rectangular holes.
Hopefully a replacement gimbal vibration damper plate will be available on eBay, I see they do the complete camera assembly for £150, Mavic Pro plate were about £12 back in the day.
