Hello,
I have a DJI Mavic Pro (2018, Apple white model) that I want to sell. It has never been crashed and is in perfect condition.
Except... when I took it out for the first time in a couple of years, a piece of plastic fell out of the camera area! I have no idea how damage occurred in the case! Anyway, the piece looks like this. And appears to have been attached at the back of the camera gimbal. (See pix).
I have flown the drone since and it appears to be fine. The camera and gimbal seem to work fine.
My question: should I try to re-attach it will glue or just leave it alone.
Thanks.

Maybe it would be a good idea to replace it completely - it's only held on with a couple of screws and the relevant parts aren't hard to source... in fact: the specific part will cost you the dollar equivalent to £3.71 on eBay

I wouldnt fly without one and I wouldnt glue it either ( the chems in whatever glue you use might not be good for the gimbal.

The disc that has broken off protects a loom of very fine cables joining the camera to the gimbal. It is a weak point in that the plastic is very fragile and can be damaged just by doing up the fixing screws a little too tightly. The mesh side has no heatsink usage. The only heat would be generated by the wiring loom or the camera itself and the mesh doesn’t touch either of them.
