I own a Mavic 2 pro and all indications show that the side usb port (used for charging as well) broke. The controller is not charging, changed cables etc. Also when I connect my phone it doesn't respond ,not even the "charging message". On the other hand when I connect my tablet from the back usb is only charging- the dji go 4 app does not open.

I was wondering if anybody needed to repair this side post and how much does it cost?

DJI is fairly reasonable when it comes to repairs like this. They would probably send you a new or refurbished RC which you would need to pair with your copter, but that's easy. If I was out of warranty - which I assume you are - I would send it to them.

I was quoted $300usd for repairing it from my local shop, they told me the whole inside console needs to be changed because it is attached to it. Also yes it's still under warranty but they told me this is a user fault it can not be broke on its own

I had this happen to my M2 before I ever got to use it. DJI ran me around for two weeks before I was able to convince them the port really was broken (it was).
Once they gave me permission to return it, it came back like new for free. After that, I was much more careful plugging in my charger. I know DJI has seen plenty of these, by now. I don’t think they will resist your explanation and just tell you to send it in,. If it is under warranty, it should not cost you anything.
It is a poor connector design, IMHO.

I seem to remember that there was a discussion of how fragile the side port is several months ago. One solution was to avoid frequently plugging in and removing the charging cable by leaving a nub (for lack of the correct word) in the port and charge using a cable with a magnetic end. I have used this method for several months and it has solved the fragile charging port problem for me. A search on this site should bring up more information.

I contacted DJI and they told me to send the controller to them for repair and that it's still under warranty.
I want to ask the about the printed label DJI gives with the address and the case number , do I need to attach it outside the box that I would post or should I put it inside the box

The printed label I believe is your mailing label. It is prepaid shiiping.
Definitely put all your contact info inside the box and I would even label the controller.
