Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park is a sprawling reserve in southern Utah, known for crimson colored hoodoos which are spire shaped rock formations. Despite its name, it is not a canyon, but a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau.

You should have gone down below the rim, too. It gives a different, interesting perspective. I was there this past November, and hiked up those switchbacks you were looking down on. They're even worse than they look!
