This paper, submitted in July this year, explains what sort of Remote Identification information the FAA requires to be transmitted by a DJI drone before it can take off and how to capture and decode the Occusync data using two HackRF Ones. You can then track the drone using a web based mapping application. The unencrypted information includes the drone's unique UUID.
It also discusses how to use the free program Kismet and a $30 wifi card to track Enhanced Wi-Fi drones. I use Kismet to track aircraft and for penetration testing. Nobody uses the old style drones around here so I've never detected any. :-(
