Is there not a way to have burst mode or continuous shooting with the Mini 2? When I shoot pics of a fast moving train i want to take multiple photos. But it only lets me do one at a time. then it doesn't take the next pic fast enough and the engine is going out of frame.

Just shoot video in 4K at 60fps and you'll have all the pictures you want later in the way of screen grabs. No going out of the frame! No wall sized prints, but good enough for 95% of other uses, like social media and website use. Don't use ND filters. You want the fastest shutter speed possible for sharp still frames!

I want full resolution pictures. I don't shoot 4K because my computer can't handle it and i don't have 4K monitors or TV. And my camcorder isn't 4K either so my ground shots wouldn't match if i did shoot 4K on the drone.

Unless you are actually printing the images, the 60 stills per second taken during 4K video should be good enough for photos to be displayed on any device. Just use proxies to edit, but you really don't need to edit. No need for a 4K monitor or a 4K TV either, as your only purpose in shooting video is to have more "in frame" pictures of your trains as you fly along! You can even use free video players like VLC to select the still frames to save as JPG's. Consider the 4K video your roll of film with 60 stills per second. You can also convert the 4K video to the same resolution as your camcorder, too, if you want! Lots of flexibility!

Shooting 4k on the mini 2 results in 30fps. Not 60fps.

... and jpg is limited for the purposes of photography if you taking this to the next level. I have set the video option to capture frames in png file format (still to try out) to see if there is more I can get out of the photo - if used for portfolio (I use Power Director 360 but am going to move to Da Vinci).

Haven't tried Da Vinci yet, but maybe there is a file format setting to save frame at higher quality than jpg?
