I saw a video where a guy shuts of the drone in the air, then it falls like 300 feet and then he starts the drone and land safely.

Does this work on the mavoc 3 pro?

The emergeny shut down on the mavic 3 exists by pushing the sticks to the sides at the same time but I have never used it since thr drone costs 2k usd and I dont want to destroy it.

No Sorry. Don't try it unless you want to see your Drone hit the Ground! All Drones have what is called a MORON SETTING. (thats the name) DJI Drones have a very tight Moron setting.
Moron setting: Determines how Level the Drone must be sitting in order for the engines to start or shut down. I think DJI's is about 15 degrees. You can place the drone at various angles to find out tho. Its the reason you can shut the motors down by flipping the Drone when hand landing.

I've seen the video, it was a Phantom 3, being recorded with a Phantom 4. And yes it was shut down, and restarted and successfully recovered, BARELY!! It was shutdown at the P3's max altitude of 500M (1640 feet). Illegal and dangerous but it did succeed. My guess it was from a combination of aerodynamics, being well balanced, and having an older and more forgiving flight OS. I don't know if a Mavic 3 has any of those attributes and as been mentioned, it's cost is very prohibitive towards testing this lol. But it "technically" is possible....

Maybe you should put a parachute on it that will automatic deployed at 150 feet. Think that’ll work

I think the only person to even consider trying this would be someone who hadn't paid 1,800+ out of their own pocket for the drone they're happy to smash.

Seems like testosterone is required to do crazy stunts.
But it definitely sounds like fun.

I've done silly stuff like that with my RC Model planes. Had a 60" Calypso with a powerful 4 stroke 30cc engine and I was doing extreme aerobatics; one time I flew it straight, I think it was probably doing 150mph at around 100' altitude, pulled the right stick fully down, aka gave full elevator, as in an attempt to do a complete 180 and both halves of the wings broke off at the fuselage, drifted downwind whilst the fuselage hit nose down into the soft ground with the propeller stopping it from burying in; the engine survived.

I may soon be doing that to a very large bunch of my gas planes, I spent a small fortune on building and equipping; have far too many of them, we will be downsizing to a smaller property hence my collection will need to be trimmed or destroyed. Can't sell them since nowadays most have shifted to smaller and budget friendly electric/lipo planes; nobody wants those larger monsters.
