I have loads of videos that are 99 percent rubbish and I need to cut out the good bits, save them to another folder and chuck the rest out. So I'm looking for a simple program. that can do this. For various reasons, this has to be a program that can be used from a USB stick without installing it on the PC.

Can anyone suggest something please?

Best look on you tube. I movie if you watch the review and demo is very good.

You could try XMediaRecode. It works great for chopping out sections of video. It's freeware and comes in a portable version. You can also batch process multiple videos. It's not for making video productions, but if you just want to cut out scenes, reformat and/or make some quality adjustments it will do what you need.

Also look at AVIdemux Portable. Similar to XMediaRecode.

Thanks for this advice. I chose Avidemux, and I'm finding it incredibly easy to use.
