Can assistant 2 provide data on total number of hours flights etc for mavic?

Depends on your drone and firmware but for the most part no. That information would be in the DJI Go 4 app as long as you used DJI Go 4 for your flight app and you haven’t erased the flight logs. It’s in the me section on the home page of DJI Go 4

Thanks. Not entirely helpful. I’ve used multiple smart devices over the past 3 years and they have not been synced to the cloud.

It may not be helpful but it’s the answer to your question but just because they aren’t synced to the cloud doesn’t mean they aren’t on your device still.
