Can't get exposure below 30

I really want to take extended exposure shots, but my manual settings won't allow me to go below 1/30. Anyone else have this problem? Do I have to adjust a setting? Even in tripod mode, that's still the lowest it goes.

Change to stills instead of video shooting.

If you're in video mode the slowest shutter speed is the FPS which is obviously set to 30. Make sure you are on still camera mode.

Keep in mind it is still a MOVING platform, even in tripod mode and 1/30 is pretty slow for a still.

That said, go for it, and experiment.
