Thread drift...I was in Japan last autumn. Flying drones there was.. difficult and was basically frowned upon unless you're in the middle of nowhere, even if the law allows for it there were plenty of bylaws regarding the use of drone.
I dont really have an issue flying as most places i want to fly are the mountains or coast so no real issue there for me. At the moment though im in Tokyo so not allowed for fairly good reasons. If i wasn't leaving Tuesday id jump on JR and head to the coast or inland but no real time. Ive just registering it with MLIT now just in case we end up on a random trip this weekend. Which is unlikely as its Golden Week.
Spent the last 3 months happily flying my Mini in the winter Alps in Nagano and Niigata. Given the Air3s is $600 cheaper here than the UK it seemed foolish not to buy.
