cause of gimbal (horizon) tilt

I know it can be compensated via yaw or pitch adjustment. But what causes the tilt to begin with? is it a damaged motor?

I presume you have performed a calibration for horizontal during set-up?
I do find the horizon tilted during my flying but it usually returns to horizontal after a minute or so.

yes. still tilted so I have to adjust it.
