The legislation required has not yet been ratified by the European Union. Until it is, manufactures cannot apply the ‘C’ mark.
In principe it’s all done, but all nations have to agree to invoke it. It’s supposed to happen in 2022, just like 2021! Some are saying it won’t make it into law until 2023 at the earliest! We shall see!
The M3 is under 900g so DJI were obviously working towards being able to apply the C mark but due to EU not ratifying the legislation it cannot be applied.
There has been some posts from Tech Drone Media where he has obtained clarification that the mark may be applied retrospectively if the manufacture so desires.
The all have a CE mark! To market any product in the EU requires it. It’s the ‘C’ mark that they, along with every other drone, do not yet have. Not like the EU to introduce a confusing system!
Legislation has been ready for couple years and is fully in force with half of transitory period gone.
That's why there are already limitations for above sub 250 gram drones.
It's certifying specifications for CE drone classes what bureucrats haven't bothered to get ready.
Even technical specs of remote ID might not be ready yet.
