Changing RTH question

If you take off from a high hillside then inflight change your RTH to a point at the bottom of that hill, will MA2 have any problem landing if you activate a RTH?

Only if the new home point is a bad landing spot.
The home point contains no elevation data and on returning to a point above the home point, the drone will descend until it can't descend any more (because it's landed).
