You know, this group has a lot of knowledge and experience at all levels. In the later part of this discussion, there were members that had adult discussions on positives/negatives of RTH use. And they discussed possible reasons for the OP's experience with RTH. This was all great as that is the purpose of these groups, to share experiences and knowledge both positive and negative. What is disturbing, and what IMHO is offensive, and has happened in other threads as well, is when we have supposed adults start calling out other members in a degrading way, and then the argument begins.
It would have been so much simpler and educational to simply say "I never use RTH as I feel it is a crutch, so I refer to others that may have a better answer", or "I use it to get the drone back home, then land manually as RTH sometime has been reported to have issues on landing". If you don't know the answer, or don't agree, simply say that vs criticizing the OP. There are many here with lots of experience, and there are people new in the field, or new with their drone model that are just looking for help or an answer to their question. I almost left the discussion until some of the later posters jumped in. And I have seen groups lose good members because of the discussions becoming animus.
Just venting my observation.
Thanks to all in the group. I have learned a lot from the expertise shared here.
