Newbie here. I couldn't find an answer in the threads or on DJI tutorials. Is there an easy way to remove the side connection cable from the RC for Mavic Pro? I'm afraid of forcing it out and damaging it. I hope there is any easier way to do it. I have the Mavmount and do not need the side cable now. Thanks.

It should just easily pull straight out. People tend to ruin the port by forcing the plug in the wrong way.

You will be using this port to charge the RC. Just be gentle with it and make sure your cable is right-side-up when you plug it in.

Thank you! I was afraid to force it out. The slot is tight. I'm aware of the port for charging. I'm probably going to buy the magnetic port for charging so I do not ruin the port. Thanks again!

If you use the small USB port for connecting your monitor setup to the controller the magnetic way is not suitable. Would not trust magnetic connection to your monitor setup while flying. Use the USB port at the bottom for connecting to monitor and the small USB port top left side with the magnetic piece left in all the time for charging.

I agree. Thank you. I only plan to use the side port of the RC for charging. I already purchased a short cable for using with my iPad mini and the center USB port.

Then place a mark on it so next time you install it you will know. Mine has a white label on it.

I put a white dot on the top side, so I know which way it goes. Just pinch it gently top and bottom with your nails as you ease it out evenly, that is how I do it. Never a problem.
