Charging Battery on Mavic Air 2

Hello everyone! I just got my Air 2 and love it. I have one quick question, can you not charge the battery while attached to the drone using the drone's usb c port on the side of the Air 2? my last couple of drones, Spark and Air Mini were able to charged through the drone. just want to make sure it's not a defect. Thanks!

No, you can only charge the battery out of the drone attached to the charger.

Thanks for the reply. i was worried with all the issues with the Air 2 batteries. I guess the usb c on the drone is for firmware update only.

Yes.

You can connect your drone to the computer with the DJI assistant for firmware updates and firmware reloading and as well in DJI assistant to run a simulator. You can also connect the drone through the usb-c port to the computer to download photos and videos, from a connected sd-card as well if you for instance you have used the internal memory card to store upon.
