Charging Port On New Mavic Controller

Hello!

I recently purchased a Mavic Air 2 with a seperate tablet mount so that I may mount my larger Android tablet. My table charges via USB-C on both ends, so I already have a nice cable for that.

I was wondering if the bottom USB-C charging port on the new controller works for data/app use, so that I can just use my existing cable instead of buying a new one. Can anyone enlighten me with regards to this?

Hello RoshanKarim,

I can't answer your specific question, but I can tell you it works on the Mavic Pro controller. I suggest you try it, nothing will get 'fried'.

Thank you for your prompt response. I do know that there is a seperate USB on the previous edition controller, as I own a Mavic 2 Pro that I use for commercial work.

I thought that the USB-C port might work on the new controller, as it lacks a normal USB port. I guess I'll just have to test it out when I get my drone, in a week or two.
