Check your apple stores

Woah! Seriously? I called Dearborn and summerset today and they had none. Did you see some in novi today? I'll head out there in the morning so I can finally cancel my DJI order.

I was at Apple in Novi,MI at 6:30 and I was told they definitely didn't have any. All they had was the demo on display. He double checked with other employees and they were unable to produce one for sale.

So I called the only one in the state and they hadn't recieved any and they said they didn't know how many or when they would get some. I placed an order for store pickup online about a week ago, so we will see.

Picked one up at the Charleston SC Apple Store yesterday. It was the only one they had. They had spare props but no batteries.

Today's the day! After taking care of a few things before lunch and a few errands after (and a museum trip to bribe the family into stopping by the area), I get to pick up my new Mavic from an Apple store.

As soon as I confirm it's working, I am so getting my money back from DJI. So happy that I don't even care that it's snowing outside and I won't be able to fly until tomorrow even if it melts.

I went to my local Apple Store today and they did not have any in stock. The chick I asked just checked the store inventory and said they had props but no mavic .

For this who had luck buying one locally, did they just check inventory or did they know they had received units?

For what it's worth, she told me that the online stock inventory should now be updated to show even if they only have 1 in stock. Take that with a grain of salt though.

I just stopped at the store on my way to the airport. It was just sitting on the shelf next to the P4s.

Basically after hearing about people picking them up in Apple Stores, I placed an order online for pickup (even though the only store is 360 miles away). My plan is to have family pickup for me, so I called and spoke with a specialist yesterday to see about any updates. He did not know idea the date or quantity they would get in, but he did seem aware of their release.

I'm hoping my "pick up pre order" has priority over in-store purchases when they get stock...

Not sure that's how it works. Basically all you're doing is buy directly from Apple and having it shipped to the nearest Apple retail store. Best Buy does the same thing when an item isn't in stock.

I grabbed a Mavic at the Aventura Apple Store Miami. I was randomly checking the website and one popped up at that store. I then proceeded to purchase for store pick up and by the time I got my information in it was gone. So I called the store and spoke to the manager and he told me yes they had some but they were gone. I then received a call about 45 minutes later from the manager stating they had one there for me and they were holding it. He got my phone number from the caller ID when I called him. They had found it and it hadn't been checked in yet. That was a very nice thing for the store manager to do considering I don't even know him. I then drove an hour from West Palm Beach down to Miami and I now have my Mavic!
