Is that fuel for the fires of the paranoid politicians, who might now be able to say "oh if some Chinese drones can do that then what about the others?"?

This is what I have been thinking is the actual threat to our national security. Not that DJI drones send home all recorded images or flight telemetry. But, that we become so dependent upon them that its a problem if China ever decides to pull the plug and brick them all. To create panic, chaos and disruption. Have you have seen the parade of government officials from law enforcement, search and rescue, emergency medical, and everywhere else traipsing through legislatures claiming that they cannot possibly do their jobs without their drones and only one kind of drone is good enough and it has all the bells and whistles. They have bought thousands of drones and they demand thousands more. But only one kind from one country will do.

They could buy Autel drones if concerned. Similar enough to be DJI replacements, with some disruption and caveats.
