Thank goodness that's not accurate. We can fly VFR day or night so long as weather conditions permit it.

Didn't know that. I thought VFR meant non-instrument only=not at night, but now I'm remembering that VFR is ok at night as long as you have sufficient visibility

VFR has no restrictions for night flight.

Night VFR is allowed in the US, but that's NOT the case in all other parts of the world.

Not sure of the situation in the USA but in Oz many VFR only aircraft do not have ADS-B equipment

Including here in Oz. You need a night rating to fly in Night Visual meteorological conditions (Night VMC)
