I suspect that the compass works fine but the phone software is at fault. My Android running an Ordance Survey map sometimes doesn’t flip the compass with a screen reorientation but continues to navigate correctly. Because the error is gross and 180D I just recalibrate my head instead. Also, I doubt it’s the landscape, even massive magnetic anomalies will not flip the compass, just bend the heading a bit, extremely unlikely to exactly 90 and never to 180D.

We fly for about 10 minutes or so when I noticed the compass arrow on the bottom left of the monitor was reversed. I tried to recalibrate the compass but it did not work. The p4 did the same thing. Has anyone experienced this? Can it be fixed? It was fine when we got home.
