Hello, I am new to all of this and excited to start flying but taking my time reading tutorials and instructions. Just bought my Mavic Pro this morning and I'm in the process of setting up and charging. Downloaded the DJl Go 4 app and I'm kinda freaking out here after reading the reviews, in particular use with android devices. I checked the approved list and the LG G4 is not on it. Sorta dampening my enthusiasm and confidence to get it in the air in fear that it's going to crash out of the sky. Even though my particular phone is not on the list, can I be confident I can use it or should I be laying out another couple hundred pounds for an Apple device?

Since the Mavic is flown with the remote controller (and not the mobile device), the worst that'll happen is DJI GO will lag, freeze, or possibly even crash. So, you can safely try it out and see how it works for you. Just keep your Mavic nearby so you can see it with your eyes.

Cheers Mavic Help, Just overly cautious, which is a good thing being that I am just starting out and inexperienced with flying drones. Didn't think it would just plummet to the Earth, but best to get the answer from the pros. Feel better now with your response so will try some limited flights, which I was going to do anyway until I got my skills up and hopefully no issues will arise. If any do I'm not going to mess about and will just pick up an Apple product. Thanks again, much appreciated!

Good plan. They are the least hassle and work very well.

Msinger, please accept my apology for getting your call sign wrong, on first glance I only saw the Mavic Help logo and not your name underneath.

No worries :)

I also have the LG G4. I had to use my wife's OnePlus 3 on the older DJI Go app before as my G4 was not working on either GO or GO 4 apps. 3 weeks ago or so, I updated the GO 4 app on my G4 and it now works. I've done 2 flights without any issues.
