Hello everyone. My mini 4 pro had fallen from 30 meters to short grass ground. Surprisingly for me, there are no broken parts on the outside, just a few small scratches. So I was happy for a moment.

Here is the problem, when the rc controller is close to the drone (10-15 cm), the connection is really unstable. It just connects and disconnects randomly, and I don’t get full 4 bars of signal. When I am 3-4 steps away from the drone with the controller, the connection is a little better, 3-4 bars mostly.

I showed it to a guy who repairs dji drones and he said something like “it might be the rf module and if it is, you should just buy a new drone”. also there is a camera lens error and he said it’s probably the ptz cable.

I don't have money to buy a new one or get it fixed in the service right now, so I'm trying to understand the situation at least. what do you think might be the issue? thanks for reading.

You need a Main board for your Drone The wi-fi is integrated with it..... finding that and then installing it could involve a bunch of headaches if you can find a cheap replacement Drone that works, thats really your best option. Unless somehow you can find the Board..Perhaps thats why your tech told you to get a new Drone.

Thank you for helping me. Yeah he said changing the motherboard and everything would cost almost the same as getting a replacement drone.

Still, I wanted to be sure if the board needs changing or not.

So is this definitely a wifi/board problem? It bothers me because I can get the live video perfectly when I am few steps away from the drone. Such a shame a perfect looking drone is actually worth nothing right now

The Motherboards for those run about 100 dollars IF YOU CAN FIND THE PART! (sorry but good luck really)
Because your Drone was in a crash, you may simply have dislodged or torn a cable. However it will cost you at least the money for those components to check...and if the problem was a broken solder joint then you will have wasted the cash. If you can do it cheaply you may try replacing the cables It has a chance of being the fix But my money is on a board replacement because of the ground impact. DJI Drones flake solder when they crash!

The definitive answer will only arrive once the damaged component has been replaced. This could be as simple as a loose connection on one of many in the system. Since you are limited($), open it up carefully and see what you can find.
Research the all powerful YouTube.

Thank you. I will do my best and hope for the best. Unfortunately I couldn't find a similar case on the internet.
