Is this because drone sensor is picking up objects?

Control sticks need calibrated. If that doesn’t work, they need cleaned. Much more involved.

Is it beeping as soon as you power up the remote, or are you just hearing beeping during flight? If it's only during flight, it might actually be your phone/tablet making the noise via the DJI app, and that is the proximity sounds.

It beeps from time to time during flight. I had the drone over large trees. Controller started beeping so I brought it home to be safe.

It will beep if obstacles are nearby. It will also give the graphic of how far the obstacle is from the AC.
