Controller display of altitude?

Hi Guys,

I see that if I take off from an elevated area, and go up to say, 20 meters, and then fly level over a valley, the altitude shows 20 meters. Is that correct? That it will always show altitude from take pff point, and not actual altitude from the ground below it?

That's correct.
The drone has no sensor capable of reading height above the ground (for heights > 30 feet)
All altitudes are relative to the launch point.

Correct, all it knows is elevation change from take off point nothing more.
