USB to micro usb. Left side of controller. Be careful with which way you plug it in. Many have not plugged it in the correct way and broken it.

the dimensions are the same as all the other mavic family of controllers, and if you use an adapter that fits between the fold out arms it will fit ,the main difference is that it only has the side charging port there is no USB at the bottom, therefore if you want ,say to use a device that does not fit in the arms then you will have to purchase a new cable to connect the controller to it as Starz said extra care is required when plugging into the port as it is the only one

Agreed with old man mavic.
I personally use a paint pen and mark the top of the charging plug to determine the correct insertion into the port.

No,you also need the controller.
