couple questions from a novice (4 days since opened awesome Air 2s)

While I am picking up fairly quickly what this cool drone will do... I have the RC Pro transmitter with it. i can't seem to find a couple answers....

1) Is there a way to set "waypoints" off of the map? (to set up the flight before going out).

2) My 27" MAC (OS 10.11.6) won't run DJI Assistant 2 (needs OS 10.13+) - is there any downside to not having that? Or is there a work-around?

The Air 2S does not have native waypoint support. You can use the third party Litchi app (one time cost) to get waypoints.

I have an Air 2S and have not had to use the DJI Assistant 2 yet.

Not yet, DJI has not released the sdk for the RC Pro so Litchi is not available.

I thought the required API was for the drone, not the controller. There should be a way to side load app on the RC Pro since it's just an android device.

What do you mean "SDK for RC Pro"? You don't have Play Store on there? You need "SDK" for the drone, not controller as far as I'm aware, but there are some bugs with the SDK for Air 2S still, should be fixed soon.

No, the Play Store is not available on the RC Pro. Also, it is a device just like the drone. It also has an SDK.
