Crash Landing

I for the first time tried flying in wifi mode indoors. When I went to land, I used the on screen Auto-Land button. Instead of landing it gained altitude until it hit the ceiling. As it was going up in tried canceling the command, but I wasn't fast enough. Luckily the only damage was to the propellers. I don't understand why it flew up when I wanted to land..? Does anyone know what I did wrong or a limit I didn't set?

You probably turned on RTH, and it went to climb to the RTH altitude.

When flying indoors you should set return to home to hover. Just in case of something happening to keep it from hitting the ceiling

Set RTH to hover? That's a contradiction.

If someone wants to fly indoor that makes sense to hover instead of climbing to oblivion and crash on the ceiling...it was just a sound advice.
