We recently purchased a Mavic Air and were having an awesome time learning how to fly and get some cinematic aerial footage. It was all good and fun until we were filming a waterfall and crashed the drone into the rock wall. Oops.
We ran straight over to approximately where it crashed, but it fell a good 70 ft and when it fell, we lost line of sight on it, so we had a broad area to search. Luckily it stayed connected, though we didn't figure out how to use the Find My Drone feature until just a few minutes before the battery died. Using that though, we were able to clearly hear the beeping, but because the area it seems to be in is heavily wooded and steep, we couldn't quite figure out where it was.
We want to go back again this weekend to try and search the area again - we're fairly confident we can get to it. However, we could use any help we could get. Can anyone help analyze the flight log and see if they can help us narrow down the search area? Or if you have any other tips or advice? We've learned a ton of what to do should we crash again in the future (and also how to better avoid a crash) but we would obviously like to recover our Air.
