I think it has become very expensive, so I'm considering buying the regular version instead. Except for the remote, which is nice. Does the video recording on the regular version have a noticeable decrease in quality?

I have the Creator Combo version. The Creator Combo supports the All Eye video codec, which records every frame, resulting in larger file sizes but easier editing. The standard Mavic 4 Pro doesn't have this codec.

Plus the creator combo has a 512GB internal which cuts both ways in that if you shoot all day with it and loose the drone you've lost a lot of important footage...which happened to a friend.

I ordered the creative combo when I thought I could actually get one from BH Video, mostly because of the much brighter screen and larger screen size.

Despite the 512GB, I still installed a 1TB sd card in it although live recordings are preferred within its 512GB memory.

I think if you research you will find the ALL-I is much harder to deal with in post and not worth the effort. Even those with powerful computers are having difficulties.

They may improve it over time but right now it is not ready for prime time.

less processing power required.

If you record with an SD card you lose it with the drone aswell though?
After watching my friend lose his drone and SD card I began using smaller cards and changing them out through the day.

Beware of Ebay offerings from Hong Kong.. they are permittting sellers to advertise creator combo packages without the new RC2 Pro Controller with photos with the the Pro controller shown in the in the photo and only with the old RC2.. this bait and switch marketing from Ebay and maybe other retailers will surely result in a class action suit who will be declining delivery in the month of June. I forecast this will get very ugly for Ebay and other retailers in the middle of this bait and switch scheme.

with Apple computers yes many bugs
If you consider ProRes to be an All-I version which I think it technically is, then Mac computers (and many others) have hardware support built in so processing that is very, very smooth. For whatever reason, both Mac and PC users are reporting a lot of problems with DJI's All-I which may indeed be a firmware update but it's unlikely processing their All-I version will never be as fast as using ProRes.

my brother would convert all his files to ProRes before editing but he has a slow apple computer. He flew the Phantom 4 Pro. Well they better fix the All-I or that would be a reason to return it.

Did B&H cancel your preorder?
Not as of yesterday, but they did send an email saying that they had no idea as to when it might be available, which I already knew
